He's still week-to-week and Bruins seem pretty guarded about it. I haven't seen him in locker room lately, and Montgomery kind of shot down question about it last week saying "He's still week to week and don't ask me next week."

Even if Bruins ice the regulars I would expect stars like Pasta and McAvoy to sit quite a lot if they build up a lead.

More power to jack. Don't like the guy's announcing but wish him the best. Something has definitely been off the last little while.

Since they are mailing it in (AGAIN) seems like the Bruins want Leafs.

Give them 50/50 chances of advancing past 1st round.

And it looks like the Leafs want the Bruins. The circle of Life lolololol

Thanks Ty! That's disappointing to hear. The kid was a welcome shot in the arm and while he isn't a bruiser, a heavy with hands like that was a welcome addition to the team and an upgrade over JVR.

Woof! Either team is a gun to the head. The history with the Leafs blah blah, Matthews is other wordly right now. Has one more game to pot that 70th goal. 50 of those goals are 5 on 5 which is absurd.

Then you have Tampa, red hot at the right time. Kucherov is also playing otherworldly and Vasilevskiy is back to form. They also just seem to have the Bruins number in post season over the last 7-8 seasons.

The Bruins themselves are a tough out(contrary to the last 2 games), the 2 headed monster goalie tandem (if used correctly) and they have a healthy amount of scoring up and down roster. Defensively they're going to have to be perfect. Guys like Pastranak, Lindholm and Carlo need to clean up the turnovers or they're (frank)ed. Serving pizzas to either one of these teams is death.

I've made known on here and in life that was not Jack's biggest fan. However he has been the voice of the B's through many great memories and tough ones too. I have personally lost a lot brain cells (indirectly caused by Jack) through Jack Edwards Bingo (a drinking game based on "Jackisms)" in my younger years. Made for many great times with the Bruins serving as the backdrop.

Love him or not is it absolutely terrible and not fair what has happened to him. I feel for the guy. To have your ability to speak with no known medical cause being slowly taken from you is (frank)ing terrible.
I wish him well in retirement(after round 1) and I hope he can recover fully or to a point where it's at least manageable.

Thanks for 19 years Jack!

I was being sarcastic - mostly due to the way Bruins ended the season. It's like they don't really care.

Last night was much worse than the loss to Washington. What was Ottawa fighting for? Bruins have no excuse for last night's loss.

They will be lucky to make it to 2nd round.

Honestly the end of the season was some pretty uninspiring hockey. I can see this series going either way. We will see which Bruin's team shows up.

I personally also didn't like Alex Faust. I think he is boring and sounds like just like a cookie cutter boring Syracuse voice. I'd love another guy with personality but no where as deranged as Jack would be nice.

It's tough guys like Mike Lange, Rick Jenneret or even Jack to some degree are rarities.

I really liked Dave Goucher when he was on the Sports Hub but he's TV guy for Vegas. Let me think come back to cold ass winter for 9 months New England or Vegas? That's a toughie...

I was recently watching a regular season game against Montreal from 2012, I think. Jack was incredible calling that game. It was a replay and Jacks voice had me fully invested in that game.

He will be missed.

He was an incredible homer and I loved every bit of it.

The homer part never bothered me. This whole thing about team broadcasters being homers the internet created is a fireable offense by who ever bleats that crap.

He lost me with stuff like his revolutionary war abortion before the Habs series in 2011, Benoit Pouliot and Pat Maroon. It was a bit too much for me but hey folks loved it which is why it went 19 years strong.

he had a couple of good phrases early on, but then started to force weird expressions on us and it became tired. And whatever is going on medically, he hasnt been able to keep up with the game for the last 3 or 4 years. It was time.

Will probably be the cocaine bear. He always wins, even when he loses.
