Gerard Gallant was seen getting in a taxi on his way to Buffalo.

At what point will you stop calling Granato brilliant and begin to acknowledge that he has failed badly in Buffalo? Just like the praise for Tom Fitzgerald who made several terrible moves in New Jersey.

That’s a long taxi ride from PEI or Florida.

Any coach playing a 36 year old broken down Kyle Okposo on the first line for an extended period is anything but a brilliant hockey mind.

Overdue. This should have been the move back in November when they were floundering to another bad start to the season. I liked Granato but if GMKA wasn't going to make roster changes than a coaching change had to be made to salvage the season. Unfortunately GMKA stood pat and the Sabres fell short, even more than last season.

When did that happen? Okie may have played a few shifts on the top line but I think it could be counted in minutes on one hand over the course of this season and the last.

Leadership is a funny thing You can be the greatest in mind but that does not carry over to success. You can be too smart for your own good. A lot of these guys fall right into that category. Sometimes smart equals arrogant and that is never good

This playoff drought is mind-boggling. 1st round draft picks in recent history: 13, 9 and 16, 1 and 14, 8, 7, 1, 8, 8, 2, 2, 8….

Countless coaches and GMs

What the hell

Some had very high hopes for Buffalo this year. See here - https://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog.php?post_id=123004 - expected to finish in 6th place. Just ahead of the upstart Blue Jackets!! Sadly, the worst 3 teams were predicted to be Philly, Washington, and NYI. Oops.

But to be fair, he would have been right about Columbus if they had acquired Pageau and flipped him for Nylander.

He’s a great teacher of the sport. He’s the reason why Quinn Peterka Thompson Dahlin are developing insanely well.

He’s more of a development coach. Personally would’ve loved to see him with different assistants.

He was on the top line for 10ish games straight.

3rd quarter of the season his most common line mates were Tage and skinner or Casey and skinner.
